My partner is violent towards me, what can I do?
If you feel it is necessary to move out of your home temporarily or permanently you can apply to your local council to be considered as homeless. They may be able to arrange temporary housing for you while they consider your application. There are a number of organisations that specialise in helping and supporting victims of domestic violence.

The Freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge, is a national service for women experiencing domestic violence, their family, friends, colleagues and others calling on their behalf.
