Are my personal goods covered i.e. carpets, furniture covered under Cotman's insurance?
No, your personal goods are not covered by the Associations’ insurance. All residents who do not have contents insurance are urged to consider obtaining it.
The National Housing Federation has developed the My Home Contents Insurance Scheme in conjunction with Jardine Lloyd Thompson Tenant Risks and Allianz Cornhill Insurance to offer tenants and residents the chance to insure the contents of their homes in an easy affordable way.
Customers are able to pay their premiums annually, monthly and, unlike many schemes, fortnightly, in Post Offices using a plastic-swipe card supplied by the insurance company. Residents pay their premiums directly to the insurance company and also deal directly with the company when making a claim.
